Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Cybertouch collects, why it is collected, and who processes it. Cybertouch keeps the amount of data it holds to a minimum and never sells personal data.

Data Controller

Cybertouch Ltd (company no. 15384458), 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX. Cybertouch is the data controller for the personal data described below.

Lawful Basis

Where you contact Cybertouch, join the Beta Program, or opt in to the newsletter, the lawful basis for processing your personal data is your consent. You give that consent by ticking the box on the relevant form, and you can withdraw it at any time (see Your rights below).

Collected Personal Data

  • Name and e-mail address when you contact Cybertouch or join the Beta Program.
  • Phone number or social handles you voluntarily share with the Beta Program.
  • If you connect a music service (Spotify) inside the Cybertouch app, an access token issued by that service. The token is stored encrypted on your device only and is never sent to Cybertouch servers. You can revoke it at any time from the app's Settings or directly on the music service's account page.
  • Audio or video you upload to generate a haptic pattern. It is sent to Cybertouch's servers, held only while the pattern is generated, and automatically deleted within one hour. The generated haptic pattern is kept; the source audio is not retained.
  • Privacy-preserving usage analytics. Analytics scripts load only after you accept them in the cookie banner; if you decline, none are loaded.

Purpose of collecting data

To respond to enquiries, administer the Beta Program, send product updates where you have opted in, understand how the site is used, and improve the Cybertouch experience. Data is never sold.

Third-party processors

Cybertouch relies on a small number of third-party services to operate. Each processes personal data on Cybertouch's behalf under its own terms and privacy policy:

  • Supabase — database and storage. Holds contact and Beta Program records.
  • MailerLite — e-mail delivery and newsletter management, where you have opted in.
  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and bot protection.
  • HubSpot — contact management and marketing analytics. Its tracking loads only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
  • PostHog — product analytics inside the Cybertouch app.
  • Plausible — privacy-preserving website analytics. Loads only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
  • Spotify AB — when you sign in to Spotify inside the app, your device authenticates directly with Spotify and Spotify's own privacy policy applies to that account. Cybertouch only sees the access token your device holds locally; it never receives your Spotify password or your library. Use the in-app Disconnect Spotify control or spotify.com/account/apps to revoke access at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you may withdraw consent, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact GetInTouch@Cybertouch.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
